SMART member meetings:  2nd Thursdays monthly, noon-1:30 pm, all welcome.  
COMING UP: OCTOBER 10, 2008, SMART annual Meeting at Church of the Ascension, 1360 Lake Avenue (several blocks south of Kodak Park).

Other reentry meetings: YIAM {Youth Intervention Aftercare Ministry) of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Highland Ave. at corner of S. Winton Rd.: presentation by Professor Tim Weider on ministry opportunities with youths.  Tim will discuss the youths' neighborhood and jail experiences.  You will learn how to create virtural, healing sanctuaries for such youths.  Sunday, October 26, 2008, after the 10:00 service (ca. 11:30 to 12 noon).

Cephas weekly support groups: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 pm, 55 Troup St., Rochester. For more information, call 585-546-7472. Print flyer.

Request for churches, mosques, and synagogues with prison outreach programs:  Donald Hardaway, Jr., a SMART activist and reentry specialist,seeks a faith-organization with a van and willing to discuss assisting in a pick-up program. This is partly to transport persons leaving the Monroe County Correctional Facility, on East Henrietta Road just north of the main Monroe Community College Campus, to local destinations.
